Solution:  All baselines and ongoing improvement tracking are available in PreVue, Prenova’s web-based decision analytics tool.  Information regarding overall financial performance against budgets and forecasts are included.  Furthermore, information on asset performance baselines and all related outcomes (energy consumption reduction, asset repair/replacement trends, maintenance service vendor performance, and emissions reduction) is also included.  Comparisons can be made across a multitude of calendar periods and portfolio views, and all comparisons are available in both graphical and report-table formats.  Tables can be exported by the customer to Excel by the press of a button, for printing or sending to others for internal reporting and analysis.  Due to the vast array of selection criteria within PreVue, reports can be quickly “customized” within PreVue itself depending on user interest, without any query language required.

All information can be seen in any relevant time interval by the use of a simple calendar feature, and can be viewed in any hierarchical layout desired ranging from site level to any aggregated portfolio view.  Hierarchies are customer driven, and may include such groupings as Building Type, Zip Code, Region, District, Utility Served, and Site (to name just a few); or in any cross-sectional view, for instance, comparing singular location performance across the portfolio. Virtually all values shown that include bill data as the primary reference can be selected as “basic” or “weather normalized” (weather factors are removed from consumption figures to obtain a base level of usage to more accurately analyze impact factors on deviations from the baseline), again by simply pressing a button.

The values in PreVue can have “Thresholds” set which can activate a red or yellow “warning” display in PreVue and which can, upon customer request, also notify the proper individuals by email, fax, pager, or cell phone that a threshold has been exceeded.

Outcome:  PreVue creates an unmatched level of visibility, manageability, and predictability over strategic plan outcomes, serving as a window into implementation performance.  PreVue quickly highlights how well the plan is tracking against targeted results.  Customers gain control over their KPI’s, and can extend performance visibility down to the site level, which is a critical component in engaging facility managers and driving down accountability to ensure goals are met.
