Prenova Takes Two Gold Awards for Advertisement
League of American Communications Professionals and the MarCom Creative Awards Hails Prenova for Excellence within the Industry

ATLANTA, GA – January 3, 2006 – Prenova®, a leading energy management company announced that it placed gold in two highly prestigious competition awards.

Prenova’s print advertisement “For the Birds” placed gold in the 2005 Spotlight Awards Print, Video &Web Communications Competition hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).

The competition drew an unprecedented number of submissions representing a broad range of industries and organizational sizes. More than 850 entries were received from 17 countries making competition exceptionally tough. Organizations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Chic-fil-A, Sony Electronics, Sprint and Office Depot compete in these awards. Companies large and small compete against peers of similar size and means.

Prenova’s ad received a scoring of 93 out of 100, placing it in the Gold category and missing Platinum by one point. The score of 93 ranks Prenova as “Superb – Among the Very Best Judged”. The advertisement was judged on the following categories: First Impressions; Overall Narrative; Overall Visual Design; Creativity; Message Clarity; and Perceived Relevance.

The competition was judged by a field of communications professionals affiliated with LACP. Their expertise spans a broad spectrum of PR functions ranging from corporate, executive, and internal communications for Fortune 500 organizations to product, service, and non-profit publicity expertise. Judges are screened to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest.

Prenova received its second Gold Award for its print advertisement “For the Birds”. The 2005 competition was held by MarCom Creative Awards.

The MarCom Creative Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication practitioners. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

There were 4,613 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the MarCom Creative Awards 2005 competition. The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry. Approximately 16 percent of the entries received this award.

The MarCom Creative Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, pr firms, graphic design shops and freelancers.

The MarCom Creative Awards is part of The Communicator Awards, one of the largest, oldest and most respected competitions in the communication field. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies.

This is Prenova’s first advertisement. It was created in conjunction with full service ad agency MRA Group based out of New York.
