Prenova Answers the Call from Major Telecommunications Company
Agreement Extends Services from 4,500 Sites to Nearly 30,000 Facility Locations

ATLANTA, August 24, 2006 - Prenova, Inc., one of the nation’s largest energy management solutions providers, is pleased to announce that a major telecommunications provider and long-term customer has expanded their energy spend management five-fold. This extended service agreement, effective immediately, runs through December 2007.

The expansion of this customer contract brings Prenova's total managed portfolio to 116,000 sites and results in an annual energy spend of $3.5 billion under its management. The scope of work includes Prenova's Bill Data Management, Energy Price Risk Management (Supply) and the demand-side program service "You’ve Got The Power to be Green!SM".

Through its Bill Data Management solution, Prenova performs a series of powerful processes on this customer’s utility bill data, which is manually entered via Prenova Flex as this customer does not currently outsource Bill Payment. Prenova then cleanses and enriches the data, and conducts a powerful series of processes and algorithms on the data to identify bill errors (including rate and tariff reviews) and anomalies.  Prenova investigates and resolves all concerns identified as potential billing issues. Prenova then ensures that all corrections are sustained in subsequent bills. The corrected billing information is then available through Prenova’s web-based digital dashboard tool PreVue®. Prenova's PreVue web application is the "window" through which the customer views, understands, and manages the impact of energy initiatives and resulting improved performance. PreVue provides standard views of facility and portfolio performance for usage, cost, and asset life cycle trends, and offers quick links to all solutions rendered by Prenova.

Price Risk Management includes the continuous review of market conditions to assess and determine both the potential near-term and future impact on financial outlooks these market changes create for the customer’s energy supply portfolio in terms of potential savings or risks. Price discovery, and then the setting of a strike price by market, is a critical part of this solution. Prenova then develops strategies and plans for managing price and risk, recommends specific actions to the customer, executes the agreed actions, and performs Quality Assurance to ensure that changes are accurately implemented.

Prenova’s “You’ve Got The Power to be Green!SM" solution is designed to eliminate waste and promote employee conservation habits. Conservation is more than good corporate policy; it’s critical for the future of our environment.  It is important that employees have the awareness and motivation to do their part to conserve – from the moment they walk into their workplace until lights out at the end of the day. Employees are encouraged via specific actions to develop energy efficient routines and are challenged to find additional ways to reduce usage with other workplace consumables.
