Prenova is creating a new asset life cycle paradigm that begins with the fact that there is a direct, measurable correlation between early asset degradation and inefficient energy usage.  Prenova’s asset management solutions quantify that risk and produce results for increased asset and energy efficiency.  Prenova has the unique ability to create and sustain efficiencies during the conversion of energy into operating requirements (e.g. lighting, conditioned space, refrigeration). Problem: There is a direct, measurable correlation between early asset degradation and inefficient energy usage.  Most organizations are simply not equipped to identify and assess leading indicators of asset and equipment degradation.  Once energy consuming assets fail, the cost for repairs and replacement, related service calls, and the potential for compromised business operations are always much more expensive than any early intervention or prevention initiative.  How can a company proactively manage a large, distributed network of assets to ensure asset and business reliability?

Solution:  Prenova is revolutionizing energy efficiency by creating sustainable asset efficiencies. Prenova provides a range of proven asset management solutions to dynamically deliver reliable and efficient operations. At the heart of these solutions is our use of predictive diagnostics, adaptive processes, and intelligent agents. These work seamlessly to optimize a customer’s equipment and other assets remotely through a connection between Prenova’s Real Time Network Operations Center (NOC) and a customer’s energy management system (EMS) as outlined below:

  • Asset Optimization SM: Via real-time, remote connection to a customer’s EMS, Prenova proactively exercises business-critical equipment and energy-related assets.  We measure, extract, and store key information on operating performance parameters to identify and analyze performance at the component, unit, and facility level. This multi-tiered approach assures optimization across the board.  We continuously assess and then remotely and automatically tune control systems and equipment.  From our NOC, Prenova provides the customer with continuous, real-time optimization of asset systems and facilities.  This optimization reduces risk of failure or impaired performance of critical equipment and energy-related assets. Asset Optimization allows Prenova to collaborate with the customer to drive decisions and actions for delivering systemic economic optimization of the customer’s facilities.
  • Reactive Monitoring: Prenova remotely monitors energy-related assets and critical equipment for rapid analysis and resolution of operational conditions exceeding pre-established business thresholds. Unlike Prenova’s Asset Optimization solution, which is proactive in identifying early asset degradation, Prenova’s Reactive Monitoring deals with resolving problems already observed or reported as operating beyond allowable limits of performance. Prenova’s NOC staff, using advanced proprietary technology, is able to remotely track and assess EMS alarms and other indicators of failure or impaired performance at customer sites. Prenova’s unique technology allows the NOC to manage customer facilities without regard to the make/model of EMS. Prenova provides remote consultation and support to customer and third party maintenance service technicians working at the customer site from our NOC.

Outcome: Prenova delivers its customers savings of up to 10% to 20% on energy consumption alone, plus savings associated with maintenance service and asset repair/replacement.
