This position is responsible for performing analysis to support and help create supply plans using tools such as the Prenova’s proprietary SharePoint Portal and SQL. The Energy Analyst works collaboratively with customers and suppliers to drive optimum value and minimize risks for each customer providing data and analytical support within Energy Procurement’s Deregulated Supply (“EP-D”) to Energy Buyers and Account Executives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to managing data and preparing EP-D reports; interfacing with internal customers, external clients, and vendors; collecting and analyzing energy loads and billing data; and developing and producing analytical reports to support the achievement of customer deliverables. EP-D activities supported include: direct-buys, RFPs, reverse auctions and other processes to perform price/risk discovery and complete energy purchases on the customer’s behalf. The ideal candidate will be highly capable of performing complex analysis to create, improve, and maintain current EP-D programs, tools, databases, and applications.

Required Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge – Basic understanding of energy terms such as demand, usage, and load factor. Strong analytical ability with a background in statistics is highly desirable
Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Access and Outlook; experience with SQL and VBA is desirable, but not required
Customer Influence – Minimal – most of the communication is done through the Account Executive
Communication – Good communications skills required to effectively answer customer’s questions
