For new sites, we contact the utility with the correct start-up date, and given our knowledge of each customer’s operation, we’ll negotiate for all potential discounts and work to waive or minimize required deposits. We’ll ensure that the correct rate is assigned, and we’ll audit the first bill to ensure that the utility applied that rate.
For sites that are scheduled to be closed, we contact the utility to terminate service on the applicable date. Often, closing dates equate to partial service periods, and Prenova ensures that all final charges are correctly prorated. We also ensure that all associated deposits are credited or refunded, and that any outstanding account credits are identified and applied prior to final account closeout.
